About

This Website is a Local Government project administered by the Local History department of Leichhardt Council in conjunction with local history groups HGOLD (The Heritage Group of Leichhardt District) and the Balmain Association.

We are grateful the National Archives of Australia for the Enlistment documents of the Leichhardt LGA local Enlistments from our suburbs Annandale, Balmain, Leichhardt, Lilyfield, and Rozelle. We endeavour to make this site a useful resources for local public schools and researchers for the coming years for assignments and commemorations of World War One.

The site contains links to the Australian War Memorial, Discovering Anzac’s, AIF database and individual information sheets on the enlistment from the Leichhardt Local Government Area.

Any additional information on individuals form their families and ancestors would greatly add to the richness of the project.
